Jackson y2kv

Jackson Y2KV was a guitar designed by Dave Mustaine, in an effort to create a less aggressive and retro-looking flying V guitar, to contrast for his usual King V.

It was mainly used for touring of Risk and The World Needs a Hero as Mustaine’s own model, with less than a dozen produced, including some prototypes.[1

]Eventually, the Y2KV went mass production and introduced in the Jackson Guitars year 2000 catalog.

The DVD concert Rude Awakening features the Y2KV with a Floyd Rose bridge and a “Shut up” sticker in between the pickups. For the closure song “Holy Wars”, Mustaine uses a Y2KV stars and stripes (USA flag).

This was my first guitar from Gearhounds and it came in perfect shape after a long journey on mail (Thanks for the case!).
  •  I ordered this guitar right away when it came out. The graphcis and was so badass and Dave Mustaine too. Playability in this guitar is very good and the sound is even better! Those pick ups are unbeliveable! This guitar keeps its tuning perfectly and I don’t have to adjust intonations for low tunings and for thick strings.
  • Strap locks of this guitar gives a secured feeling on gigs and when having a practice with a band. Notice that the upper volume knob is for bridge pick up and the middle knob is for neck pick up, it’s very handy and theres isn’t any mess when cutting the volume out from bridge pick up. Quality for price is very very  good! 5/5 and five skulls!

Outlandish look. Brutal sound. The aptly named Jackson Warrior always emerges victorious. With two high-output Jackson CVR humbucking pickups, 24 jumbo frets, shark fin inlays and licensed Floyd Rose double locking tremolo system.

– Compound 12 to 16 inch Fingerboard Radius for a comfortable feel built for speed all the way up the neck – Reverse Jackson – 6-In-Line Pointed Headstock – Super high output Jackson CVR humbuckers for a searing tone .

The sound is OK but its a terrible time keeping this guitar in tune. Touch the trem and its all over. Is there some trick to keeping this guitar in tune??? Im surprised being its a Jackson and a Floyd Rose. The “fine” tuners are not fine, but rather large screws that can be hard to turn and are loose as there is much wiggle room, so the fine tuners dont do or keep their job very well at all. Im really very surprised and it makes me question buying any other guitars from this seller. Until now I have always been very happy with everything I have bought here….

Feature:                            Yes, the accessories are as advertised.

Ease of Use:

Very hard!!! Even without touching the tremolo bar its very tough to tune. This guitar doesnt stay in tune and that is a “MUST HAVE” with any instrument.

All cheap parts – Its a “toy” guitar for a beginner maybe, or a beater guitar, but dont buy this expecting quality, or for it to stay on tune. I really wish I could say its great, but I would be lying.
